Michael Sager-Wilde says that the two most important elements in his life are his marriage, and wine. Newly arrived back in London after a two-year sojourn in San Francisco and South America touring vineyards and working the wine harvests, he is now firmly established back on the London wine scene.
Michael’s previous experience encompasses London’s award-winning Milk & Honey, The East Room, Quo Vadis, Happiness Forgets and also RN74 in San Francisco, California. Recently, he hosted a series of successful Wine Thursdays as a pop-up at the premises previously known as The Foundry on Great Eastern Street. He is the owner of Sager & Wilde, opening in Shoreditch in Spring 2013.
Michael’s passion for wine and his almost evangelical pursuit of disseminating his extensive wine knowledge is his mission. He believes people should be able to enjoy premium wines without outrageous mark-ups. Rumour has it that his own wedding to Charlotte (the Wilde part of Sager & Wilde) was a decadent eclectic ceremony in Las Vegas. But we all know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Michael is a firm believer in marriage and is looking forward to advising Love Scarlett lovers on incredible wines that he hopes will rock their world.
