Giles Melville Looker grew up in the heart of Oxfordshire where he first worked in a country pub/restaurant called the Bull Inn in Charlbury, for a gentleman by the name of Roy Flynn. Roy used to run the Speakeasy club in London in the 60’s. it was a great inspiration and lead Giles to London at the beginning of 2000.
There he worked with great Bartenders such as dick Bradsell and Dale Degreoff and learnt the real art of cocktail making. After many years of working for the Match bar group he left and set up Soulshakers with Micheal Butt.
Since then they have travelled the world, setting up some of the most famous bars in the world such as Mahiki, Quo Vadis, Meat Liquor, Burger and Lobster, Bodo Schloss to name a few. Giles has run events from weddings for 100 people to festivals for 30,000 and shaking cocktails for Virgin Atlantic at 30,000ft.
When it comes to running bars and designing cocktail menus he is a one stop shop sure to impress.<
