Simple Things

mirror

Sometimes I feel the simplest details at weddings are the most beautiful and heartfelt.

I really love using mirrors in venues and writing short love sonnets or poems upon them for guests to admire and read during the celebrations.

Try this idea - you will love it!

The Wallace Collection

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Yesterday morning bright and early I made my way to The Wallace Collection, a museum based on a quiet square just off of Oxford Street.

If you are looking for a venue steeped in history with exquisite artwork and unique event spaces then this is the venue for you.

The museum has twenty-five galleries and is filled with French 18th Century paintings, furniture and porcelain with superb old master paintings by Hals, Rembrandt, Rubens, Velazquez and Van Dyck.

The opulent state rooms cater for small dinners for 20 and the Great Gallery with its old masters provides an unrivalled backdrop for an exclusive dinner for up to 120.

For further information on this venue visit The Wallace Collection or contact the events team on 0207 563 9507.

Tigerlily Loves One Marylebone Road

one-marylebone

On Thursday evening I attended a showcase at One Marylebone Road a beautiful venue for weddings and events in central London.

I found this little gem recently when completing a venue search for one of my clients and I am so excited to be working with the team in November on one of our weddings.

The management team have worked painstakingly to restore this venue recently and it is a truly unique versatile and beautiful venue space.

Lots of movers and shakers attended the showcase. I got to catch up with the super stylish Simon Nickell from Euphoric Flowers, and other talented wedding and event planners within the industry.

The food and service at the showcase was amazing and was managed by David Wolanski and his dedicated and creative team at The Recipe.

This venue is definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a fabulous space for your wedding.

Enjoy!

On Friday  I visited Great Fosters a beautiful venue in Egham Surrey which is set in  an impressive estate with over 50 acres, and was originally reputed to be the hunting lodge of Henry the 8th.

The Venue is a grade one listed building which is filled with  beautiful  features and oozes old English grandeur, as soon as you enter the main reception you are met by the most impressive wood carved mantel that I have ever seen.

The gardens are breath taking, for any couple booking this venue you will be be assured of a beautiful backdrop to celebrate your day, which will also look amazing in you wedding photographs.
